Taking inspiration from the twin sources of The Enemy Within’s “Strike” (Keith LeBlanc and Adrian Sherwood's 1984 cut-up classic) and The Chemical Brothers habit of sneaking out "Battleweapon" dancefloor-aimed versions of tracks that may or may not appear on upcoming new albums, here's a brand new offering from IDC taken from ongoing recording sessions for his second album due out in 2010. The track features "street choirs" recorded in situ by IDC's labelmate Chairman Miaaoow at various G20 demonstrations around the world over the past year.

Although now best known for his record releases and international DJ headline sets at many of DJ Mag's "Top World 100 Clubs" such as Volar Hong Kong, Zouk Singapore and Razzmatazz Barcelona, for the first part of the 00's IDC was one of the three or four leading lights of the UK's bootleg/mash-up/bastard pop scene.
IDC is the only one of those guys to have made the transition from providing TV shows such as MTV Mash and radio shows around the world with sometimes weekly tracks, to establishing a successful international reputation for his own material. However, he still makes new bootmixes for his DJ sets and still slips them out to the likes of John Kennedy on XFM's X-Posure for airplay in the UK...
Here's a 15 track compilation of some of IDC's best boots, indeed some of the best examples of the genre, spanning the early 00's right through to the last few months, pulled together in one place as an end-of-decade present to all and sundry...
